But I'm Not Tired!
It's been an amazing weekend. The 4th of July! Independence day! Once again declaring my financial independence...holed up in my house covered in poison ivy. All of our plans of sailing, hot air balloon launches and road trips took a back seat to scratching, itching and calamine lotion.
When looking for the #onpurpose of things, I find myself wondering if this was the calm before the storm. The eye of the hurricane...
I spent the last 6 months working toward a goal. A goal I was SURE I would reach. A goal I worked toward each day with commitment and dedication. A goal I fell short of achieving. I knew a few weeks ago it wasn't going to happen. The gap between where I was and where I needed to go was farther than my brain could imagine achieving in the time left.
So I set about looking for the "what happened" of it all. I took an opportunity to review where I was, how far I had come and what I had accomplished - even in the falling short of my goal. I'm proud to say my business broke every previous benchmark. We broke records based on our own past achievement. Team Dash grew more and more quickly than any previous 6 month period since launched in 2006.
So where is the #onpurpose of poison ivy on a weekend of independence? Rest. Rebooting. Recharging. And as though thoughts become things, I found a guide to take me through the 3rd full day of a long weekend of healing - youtube. I ended up with a playlist of Abraham-Hicks segments...no more than 17 minutes in length. But they played throughout the day as I regained enough strength to do some dishes, make a salad for lunch, cook dinner.
I can't tell you many of the words that were said but through a series of answers to questions asked by followers of Abraham's teachings, I started to decide some things...
- Writing is crucial to accessing my infinite intelligence and the guidance available to me
- Gratitude and Joy is all we are about - if you ain't got it make changes till you get it
- There are no answers without first asking questions
I had the best writing session of my life this morning - it created dialogs, epiphanies and ideas that were so inspired they are bringing my Al That Ease podcast to whole new levels. And inspired me to reignite my commitment to reaching the previously unreachable goal in the next round and for the next 6 months.
And so now - I can't wait to continue to get started. And may end up with another sleepless night. And here I thought it was the prednisone! ;-)
